New Hall of Fame Studios launches its software division with a five-plugin suite built on its own ground-up DSP engines

Five audio plugins — a sampler/sequencer, an analog-modeling synthesizer, a modular effects rack, an adaptive vocal strip that learns the singer, and a 32-band mastering suite — each running on real-time-safe DSP written from scratch, with no third-party DSP libraries. Available now for macOS and Windows.

New Hall of Fame Studios (NHOF) today announced the formation of its software division and the release of the NHOF Plugin Suite: five instruments and effects that share a single philosophy — every sample that passes through them is shaped by DSP the studio wrote itself, line by line, with nothing borrowed and nothing left to chance.

NHOF was born in the room, not the lab — a working studio run by people who cook, play, and record for a living, and who got tired of software that sounded almost right. The suite is the answer to a simple question: what would these tools sound like if the people who used them all day built the engine underneath? The result is a family of plugins that feel like studio gear and behave like studio gear, because the math inside them was tuned by ear as much as by spec.

The innovation

What sets the suite apart is not a feature list — it is the foundation. Every plugin runs on custom DSP built from the ground up, with no third-party DSP libraries. That choice is deliberate and it is audible.

Real-time safe by design. The audio engines allocate no memory, take no locks, and touch no files on the audio thread. Denormals and non-finite values are scrubbed per block so a plugin can never stream a click, a dropout, or a NaN into your converters. This is the difference between software that measures well and software you can trust on a live master bus.

Bit-exact, golden-null tested. Vocal Sauce and FORGE ship against golden reference renders and are null-tested to the bit — the compiled build must reproduce the reference signal exactly or the build fails. When the studio says a fix changed nothing else, the null test proves it.

On top of that shared foundation sit four genuinely distinct pieces of engineering: a custom sampler engine with per-pad control and live resampling; an analog-modeling synthesizer that emulates the character of vintage analog oscillators; an adaptive vocal DSP that learns the individual singer — measuring the voice and tuning the de-esser, EQ and gain to it; and a 32-band mastering suite for surgical, transparent finishing. All of it real-time safe. All of it NHOF's own.

The suite — five products

The Blapp Machine Sampler / Sequencer

A classic pad-style beat-making workstation with 16 velocity pads, deep per-pad parameters, and Song and Loop modes for building full arrangements. Resample anything back onto a pad, record MIDI and audio live, and ride a DJ-style crossfader on the way out. Each pad's insert chain can host the other NHOF plugins directly, and a dedicated Console mixing-desk page gives you faders, fine modes and metering. A three-model master compressor — GLUE, CHARACTER and GERM (GERM is a germanium-diode voicing) — with full sidechain (pad or MIDI-key trigger, sidechain HPF, LISTEN, presets), a real automation engine, and MIDI-learn with factory controller maps make it a complete production hub, not just a drum machine.

Analog's Dream Synthesizer

A polyphonic analog synth built on PolyBLEP oscillators and five switchable chip models — each voiced to a different classic character, from glassy and bright to thick and warm. Twin engines (Engine 1 / Engine 2) layer with a blendable sample layer, so you can fold your own audio into the synth voice. Mood-based chord and scale progressions turn single keys into musical phrases, a host-synced arpeggiator adds a note-spread DISPERSE control, and multiple reverb types finish the sound. A full automation engine, a 16-step sequencer and MIDI-learn round it out.

FORGE Modular Effects Rack

A build-your-own effects chain with up to 13 slots and 14 module types, routed serial, parallel, or through send and aux buses. FORGE runs in double precision, syncs time-based modules to host tempo, and drives a live-visualizer UI so you can see the signal, not just hear it. Its output is golden-null tested against the reference — the rack you build is bit-for-bit the rack the studio designed.

Vocal Sauce Adaptive Vocal Strip

A complete vocal channel strip — HPF, gate, de-esser, EQ, compressor, saturation, doubler, reverb and limiter — that learns the voice in front of it. Its auto-learn de-esser measures where a singer's sibilance actually lives, a plosive-catch stage tames pops, a learn-EQ pass finds the tonal problems, and auto-gain sets the level for you. Mono or stereo, with MIDI-learn and a live spectrum display, Vocal Sauce turns a raw take into a finished vocal without a chain of guesses.

The Master Mastering Suite

A dedicated master-bus finisher pairing a 32-band mastering EQ with the same three-model master compressor found in Blapp, plus audio and MIDI sidechain, sidechain presets, A/B comparison, and full metering. Surgical when you need a scalpel, musical when you need glue — The Master is where an NHOF mix becomes a record.

Availability

The NHOF Plugin Suite is available now on macOS and Windows, validated to industry strictness levels and tested in major DAWs. It ships in VST3, Audio Unit (AU) and Standalone — VST3 and Standalone on both macOS and Windows, plus AU on macOS for Logic, all built natively from the same source. AAX for Pro Tools is in progress, pending Avid/PACE certification. Each product can be bought individually; licensing is handled by NHOF's own entitlement system.

Why it matters

Most plugins are assembled from shared DSP libraries. The NHOF suite is not. Owning the engine end to end is what lets the studio make a de-esser that learns, a synth that models specific chips, and a mastering chain it can null-test to the bit — and stand behind every sample that comes out.

About NHOF

New Hall of Fame Studios (NHOF) is a recording studio and, now, a software company. Founded by working musicians and studio professionals, NHOF builds instruments and effects from the ground up — its own DSP, its own sound — for people who make records.
